9 Things Every Woman Should Have

One of the things I love about being a woman is the fact that I can buy a cute version of everything that I need—I regard this as a source of some main character moments in life. Imagine going to a yoga class with the cutest water bottle ever, or going to bed with your soft silk pajamas as if you’re attending the infamous Blair Waldrof’s sleepover… I would say, “You go, girl!” and hand out the list of things every woman should have for reference.

1. A Good Skincare Routine: Finding a suitable skincare routine for your skin type might be a challenging series full of trial and error. For an oily slash acne-prone skin like mine, finding a staple one feels like discovering a needle in a haystack. With that said, my routine has been something constant since 2021 that I don’t see myself changing for a long time to come.

2. A Staple Pair of Jeans: I’m such a jeans girlie. I would wear jeans to work if not prohibited. Whether you like them or not, I do think that it’s important to have a staple pair (or more) for a casual get-together now and then. Easy to match, jeans look basically good with anything.

3. Comfortable Sandals: We. Women. Love. Shoes. There is no denying it. For daily use, however, I much prefer it if my feet have room to breathe. That’s why I will always stand my ground against the sandals-slanders (if there is such a thing). A pair of comfortable sandals is a must-have.

4. A Daily Water Bottle: Stay hydrated. Never leave your house without a water bottle. An adequate water intake means a healthier lifestyle—a healthier lifestyle means a better chance for better skin. To make drinking water more exciting, I use this very cute water bottle that once made my colleagues squeal, “Where did you get that from? Give me the link!”

5. Lip Products that Match Your Skin Undertone: I wish I looked good with bright red lipstick, but I know that I don’t. I find my go-to lip product in the form of a natural rose-shade lip tint instead. My take on this is that we all should find at least one good lip product that matches well with our skin undertone.

6. Some Cute Sleepwear: “What is the purpose of wearing cute sleepwear? People are not gonna see that!” I wear those cute pajamas for myself, thank you very much.

7. A Jewelry Stack: I don’t mean to encourage people to be gold or diamond hoarders. It’s possible to look cute while still being frugal, you know. Online marketplaces nowadays offer us so many affordable jewelry pieces to collect. You can use them to elevate your look—trust me, even a basic tee will look much more chic if given a simple necklace revamp.

8. Enough Bags: It’s hard not to splurge yourself with more beautiful bags. However, since I’m all for a more minimalistic lifestyle, I choose to have only ‘enough’ bags in my wardrobe. You just have to set the right strategy, like collecting several different bags in different types instead of buying three similar bags in different colors.

9. A Go-To TV Show: A perfect way to wind down after work is going home to a feel-good TV show. Off the top of my head, I will recommend Friends, Modern Family, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Big Bang Theory, Gilmore Girls, and Sex and The City. Choose your fighter.
