I Heart (This) Pizza
If I am about to participate in communal dining, the first thing that pops into my mind will most likely be: “Pizza! I’ll bring pizza!”. Not only that it’s easy to share, but pizza is generally loved too! While I appreciate the dish for its practicality, I must also admit that I never think of pizza as a personal favorite, but I sure know a damn-good pizza when I eat one.
With such an introduction, it would be of no use if I didn't have anything good to recommend, so let’s say "Ciao!" to this pizza place called Pizza Head located in Pos Bloc, Central Jakarta. My friends and I visited the small restaurant a few months ago. It was a random decision fueled by my friend’s desire to eat something practical after our night walk. Since it was already 10 p.m. and almost all the flavor was out of stock, we ordered a whole pan of Hawaiian Pizza—a New York-style with beef bacon, smoked beef, onion, pineapple, basil, and honey mustard.
I wasn’t sure what made me think it was the best pizza I had ever tasted in my entire life. Was it hunger? Was it the delicious pineapple? Was it all the burnt calories talking?
To test my theory, I went to the same place a few weeks after that with some other friends. It was still quite early in the noon, but what I ultimately went there for—the Mushroom Pizza—was no longer available to order. Well, what a shame. We opted for the good old Pepperoni Pizza with cheese then.
Guess what? It was gooood.
In conclusion, I will say that I heart this place. I heart the pizza in this place.
P.S.: I will update you guys once I get the chance to try the Mushroom Pizza. Care to place a bet? I'm pretty sure it will blow my mind.
