Throwing a Friend's Bridal Shower: Some Ideas
After ten years of dating, my college friend Lauren is marrying her best friend next month! So, three of our friends and I decided it was time for a proper celebration. We threw a not-so-secret bridal shower party for her this evening. Even though it was an intimate celebration with just the five of us, the day flew by because it was that much fun.
Here’s a breakdown of the bridal shower details, in case you need some inspiration:
1. Finding the Perfect Venue
At first, we planned to host it in a restaurant’s private room, but after giving it more thought, we realized we didn’t want to be bound by a time limit. So, we booked a room at the Posto Dormire Hotel instead.
Honestly, 10/10 decision. Even though we didn’t stay overnight, the room was aesthetically pleasing and cozy. We ended up staying there for around six hours, just chatting, eating, and enjoying the vibes.
2. Decorating the Venue
Once we had the perfect space, we added a few simple (and cute) decorations to set the mood. We bought helium balloons that spelled out “Bride to Be”, replacing the letter “O” with a ring-shaped balloon for a fun little twist.
3. Ordering a Bridal Shower Cake
Since we had decided to keep this little celebration PG-13, we ordered a Korean-style cake with the same "Bride to Be" message. It even came with a tiny crown on top! We bought it from @blessedsister.id on Instagram.
4. Dressing Up the Bride-to-be
To make sure the bride-to-be felt extra special, we got her a “Bride to Be” sash and a cute pin. You could also go for a mini veil or tiara if you're into that vibe.
6. Ordering Food
Food is a must. We ordered Pizza Hut's Big Box and some milk tea because they were perfect for sharing and super practical.
7. Printing the Groom-to-be Face Cutouts
To spice things up (and get a good laugh), we printed face cutouts of the groom-to-be and wore them as masks. Lauren’s reaction when she saw us was absolutely priceless.
8. Game Time
My friends and I played this game called Undercover. It was such a blast—highly recommend for small groups.
