10 Signs You’ve Officially Entered the Adulting Zone

You know you’re an adult when…
  1. You’re happy when all your laundry is dried. I mean, no pile of wet clothing on the clothesline? I’m very pleased.

  2. You have cracked heels and actively look for a solution. Yep, that’s me. After all this time, cracked heels finally bug me. I’ve been using this Banana Heel Cream I bought in Tofu, Thailand last year, and while the results are not instant, the surface of my feet feels so much better already.

  3. You include vegetables in every meal. Trust me. I used to loathe them with a passion. Ask my mom—she will tell you what a task it was for her to feed me vegetables. Now? I feel like something is missing if my meal doesn’t have vegetables in it. I even love eggplants now. They’re so good.

  4. Some restaurants you used to like don’t satisfy you anymore. After years of not visiting the old spots, you realize how much your preferences have changed. I think it may have to do with how fond memories can cloud your judgment. Beyond giving the same nostalgic vibes, you realize that the food isn’t that good to begin with, and your excitement about the place will slowly fade.

  5. You realize that being a know-it-all is so not cool. I’d rather be the quiet one in the group than try so hard to prove myself.

  6. A good night’s sleep is more important than staying out. I’m now counting how many hours I get to rest every night. I usually go for a minimum of 7 hours per day (because 6 is not enough, while 8 is a little hard in the age of TikTok).

  7. You realize that learning Spanish from Dora The Explorer is not that cool, especially when you can only count to twelve. That’s how much Dora taught us in primary school.

  8. You’re excited to find new cleaning products that actually work. It’s magic, I tell ya.

  9. You learn to manage your finances because life is not a fairytale and we have bills to pay. I use two apps, Sepran and Money+, to manage mine. I've been thinking about writing a post on this—what do you think?

  10. You have credit cards. And I’m proud to say that budgeting keeps me from going overboard. Yay for collecting points every time I shop!

I don’t know which one of these hit you right in the heart, but do let me know if you have any others I haven’t mentioned yet!
