A Dough-mazing Day in Pizza Marzano

Last Monday, some friends and I did the most random activity we could come up with: pizza-making! It might sound like a hassle, but trust me—I didn’t even break a sweat. Pizza Marzano, the restaurant offering this pizza-making activity, had prepared the dough for us in advance. All we had to do was wear the apron and hat, roll and shape the dough, and put the toppings on our pizza.

I chose to make the Funghi Di Bosco pizza since the flyer said it was perfect for mushroom lovers. With a layer of tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and mushrooms, my pizza couldn’t have looked better.

The pizza on the right is my friend’s unbaked Milano Pizza.

After we finished decorating our pizzas, the chef in charge took them in to bake. Then, we were told to return to our seats (which were right behind the pizza-making counter). I sipped my lemon tea since the package included a beverage of our choice (+IDR 5,000, and it was free-flow).

Here’s how our pizzas looked after baking:

My take on the activity? It was a lot of fun. Each of us spent around IDR 156,000 for the experience and the food afterward. I’ve always loved Marzano’s thin-crust pizza, but if I go back, I’ll make a beeline for the Trifolata (the truffle mushroom paste base tasted so good!).
