I Made Another Bag and I’m Losing My Mind (In a Good Way)
Okay, I feel like crying happy tears because writing this post doesn’t feel real…
I just finished my second bag last night (a popcorn shoulder bag, might I add), and couldn’t be happier about how it turned out!
Out of all the things I’ve crocheted in the past two and a half months, this bag is definitely the trickiest and hardest. It took me quite a while to finish the foundation stitches, and the first few rows after that weren’t easy either—I wasn’t sure which stitch I should end the row with, and my bag ended up looking weird.
After I redid it twice, however, I finally understood the assignment. I found the rhythm. Doing the popcorn stitches turned out to be fun, and last night marked my 80% progress. My sister, for whom I made this bag, already approved of it.
So now, you might wonder: why only 80%?
It’s because I haven’t done the lining or stitched the zipper yet. I’ll do it soon… hopefully… because all I want right now is to get a little further away from my cottons and hook. After making such a project, this girlie needs rest.
Still, I’m so excited to plan my future crochet projects. Also, shout-out to this amazing YouTube video for the cute popcorn bag tutorial!
For now, though, I just want to proudly scream, “I made another bag, guys! I made another bag!”
