Some of My Beach-y Outfits

For someone who lives in a tropical country where dry and rainy are the only seasons we know, the idea of four seasons feels almost mythical. I can only imagine how exciting it must be to walk along fallen autumn leaves, pretending to be Rory Gilmore in Stars Hollow. And having winter clothes stored away in my closet for nearly a year? That sounds so cool. I mean, what is snow, really? Aside from digital footage, I’ve never seen it in real life—though I hope to someday.

According to the internet, it’s summertime in other parts of the world. Even without firsthand experience, my mind conjures up images of sunny Pinterest mood boards and popsicles galore. While I can’t say the same applies here, the fact that we’re in the dry season does bring a similar vibe: it’s the perfect beach time, and no one can convince me otherwise!

(I may be physically sitting in my room, 13 km from the nearest beach, but I would say that mentally, I'm thereI'm where the ocean meets the shore.)

Personally, I like to celebrate beach season with a simple outfit, sunnies, and a pair of flip-flops. Here are some of my past looks for reference:

Outfit #1

I love pairing a plain halter top with a floral skirt—especially in classic black and white. It gives off a nuanced simplicity, if you ask me.

For a different beachy vibe, I would mix the floral skirt with a brighter tank top (a tosca one, maybe) for a more youthful feel.

Outfit #2

I have these cute brown shorts I adore. When I want to keep it simple, I pair them with a plain black square-neck top.

I think this look would be even better with a simple shell necklace. Note to self: add one to the wishlist!

Outfit #3

Sometimes, I like pairing the brown shorts with a contrasting tank top—like this purple one.

In a beach setting, I feel like this combo gives off a carefree, fun vibe.

P.S. I swear it's purple! I don't why it looks blue in the photo.
