My Recent (Healthier) Snack Hauls

In an attempt to live a healthier life, I’ve been cutting down on unnecessary sugar lately, especially during the weekdays. No more chocolate bars for breakfast. No more cookies just because I feel like it. And no more saying yes to every dessert invitation (because, apparently, I love cake as much as Jerry loves his cheese).

Still, this girl needs something to snack on now and then. And forasmuch as I do behave most dutifully (imagine this in a super adult voice), I try to limit what I eat to healthier options. Here are some of my recent snack hauls:

Oatside Mixed Cereal Bars. Earlier this month, I told you I bought these Oatside mixed cereal bars in chocolate, peanut butter, and strawberry white chocolate flavors—and they didn’t disappoint! I love how good they taste, despite being advertised as having twice the fiber of broccoli.

My favorite? Definitely the chocolate one. It tasted so chocolatey, yet healthy.

Fitbar. Fitbar has been a staple snack of mine for the past few years. Affordable, delicious, and claimed to be healthy—count me in for the world of Fitbars. If you haven’t tried them, you should definitely get the Choco Delight and Fruits Delight ones. I’m obsessed.

Ladang Lima Cookies. Ladang Lima has been my go-to snack whenever I’m in the mood for healthy cookies. I usually buy (and enjoy) the Pumpberry, Blackthins, and Cheesethins, but recently, I was intrigued to try their new variant: the Matchathins cookies. Not my favorite, to be honest, because it tasted a bit too… healthy. But I’m still going to stock up on the other variants, just in case I’m in a cookie-monster mood.

Soyjoy Snack Bars. My sister once told me that if I wanted something healthy, I should try Soyjoy. She didn’t tell me which flavor to try, though. Confident that my taste buds would pick the delicious ones, I opted for the Danish Cheese and Mochachoco Cashew flavors. The Danish Cheese? I liked how unique it tasted. The Mochachoco Cashew? Not my jam. I wasn’t really into how the mocha flavor mixed with the texture.

I was a little late to discover that my sister’s favorite is the ‘berries’ flavor—but that’s okay. I’ll head to the nearest supermarket to pick up the other flavors soon. I promise I’ll report the outcome in my next post (but not next next—if you know what I mean).
