Why We’re ‘Restaurant Repeaters’: Celebrating at Amanaia Satrio
If there’s such a thing as an “outfit repeater,” then my workmates and I are “restaurant repeaters.”
A few days ago, to celebrate my manager’s birthday, we went to a restaurant called Amanaia Satrio, which we had visited earlier this year. I don’t normally write about the same restaurant twice on my blog, but there was something different about this visit: we went there for dinner, and the place looked even more wonderful at night.
We ordered the Kamboja package for five people, which included five packs of rice, five glasses of iced tea, three types of sambal, and:
Gurame Goreng Mangga Rempah (Fried Gourami Fish with Mango and Spices)
Cumi Goreng Cabe Bawang (Fried Squid with Chili and Garlic)
Kuwe Bakar (Grilled Trevally)
Sate Ayam (Chicken Satay)
Soto Tangkar (Indonesian Beef Ribs Soup)
Tahu Telur (Tofu with Egg)
Cah Kangkung (Stir-Fried Water Spinach)
Buah Campur (Mixed Sliced Fruit)
We also received a dish called Tape Gulung (Rolled Fermented Cassava) as the restaurant’s birthday treat for my manager.
All in all, I would say it was a wonderful dinner by the pond. I would love to bring my family and boyfriend here sometime.
