Pinot Catering Diaries, Part II: Comfort in a Lunchbox

If we’re talking about food, I must say I’m always intrigued to try something new. That’s why my weekends are usually reserved for trying different restaurants (though not every weekend, obviously, since money doesn’t grow on trees).

Unlike that adventurous side of me that only comes out a couple of times a week, I much prefer a steady routine on weekdays. That’s why I decided to resubscribe to Pinot Catering’s service for my third week.

And since I’m a satisfied customer in the mood for a good gloat, here’s my lunch haul from week two:

Monday

Carbo: Rice
Protein: Chicken with chili and salt & fried yellow tofu
Fiber: Stir-fried long beans
Condiment: Sambal

Tuesday

Carbo: Rice
Protein: Beef bulgogi & scrambled egg
Fiber: Kimchi
Condiment: Chili sauce

Wednesday

Carbo: Rice & stir-fried white rice vermicelli
Protein: Fried chicken with shrimp paste
Fiber: Tofu soup
Condiment: Sambal

Thursday

Carbo: Rice
Protein: Padang-style grilled chicken & fried egg
Fiber: Jackfruit vegetable stew
Condiment: Sambal

Friday

Carbo: Rice with kaffir lime leaves
Protein: Fried chicken, omelet, & corn fritters
Fiber: Vegetable soup & sliced cucumbers
Condiment: Sambal

So, what can I say? If variety fills my weekends, then familiarity sustains me through the workweek.
