A Honey-Roasted Sweet Potato to the Rescue

Well, I need to admit something: I haven’t had eggs for breakfast this week.

It’s been a busy week for me. I haven’t had time to buy a new pack of omega eggs yet, but I’m trying to stick to real food for breakfast (since I’m still in the spirit of maintaining a healthier lifestyle and all). So this morning, when I stopped by FamilyMart to grab something to eat, I proudly asked for one honey-roasted sweet potato.

It cost me IDR 9,900—a little pricier than the sweet potatoes I’ve picked up at other convenience stores, but so much better in terms of taste.

I felt full—a little too full, actually, since the sweet potato was quite dense—but I was satisfied nonetheless. The sweetness of the honey was unmistakable in how pleasant the dish tasted. I wouldn’t eat this every day (just so I don’t get sick of it), but trust that this sweet potato will be something I casually opt for now and then.
