Using the Friendship Filing System for My Blogs
Quick question: do you think it’s true that we have different friends for different purposes? Without meaning to sound selfish, I honestly think it’s true. In my head, I put my friends into different boxes: one to talk about careers, one about faith, one to joke around with, and another for everything else.
Just like how I do with my friends, I classify my blogs into two different purposes: Tale Enthusiast, for literary, metaphor-filled writings, and Rolife Coaster, for the more mundane, daily ups and downs. Since Rolife Coaster is more random and laid-back, I’ve been gravitating toward this blog more lately—and it shows. I’ve been so much more productive here since April.
But I don’t want to play favorites! I love both my blogs with all my heart. And since I don’t think I’ve ever openly talked about my six years with Tale Enthusiast here (crazy, right?), let me do a little shameless self-promotion today.
Here are some of my favorite categories you should check out:
In this section, you’ll find my travel stories mixed with life musings I’ve gathered along the way. I’m genuinely grateful for all the places that have inspired me to write pieces I can look back on.
In Personal Musing, you’ll find reflections on the things that inspire me to write. Mostly consisting of short prose pieces, these are quick reads I hope will leave you wondering and thinking.
Believe it or not, reading used to be my whole personality (I once finished more than 100 books in a year!). But things have changed now. Lately, I’ve been so distracted by other things that I haven’t had time to pick up a book.
So, what do you think? I’ll be happy if you love Tale Enthusiast as much as I love curating it.
